Bontrager Outdoors Reveals New 2025 Camper Models
Bontrager Outdoors has introduced its new 2025 camper models, the 7ROD and 10ROK, offering lightweight, versatile options for modern outdoor adventurers.
Bontrager Outdoors has unveiled two new camper models for 2025, continuing its focus on offering innovative and versatile solutions for outdoor enthusiasts. These new releases, the 7ROD and 10ROK, are part of the company’s recently rebranded Small Line, previously known as the Bushwhacker line.
The changes reflect Bontrager Outdoors’ aim to streamline its product offerings while introducing fresh features tailored for a wide range of outdoor adventures.
“With a combined 30 years of experience in the RV and overland camping industries, we bring an unmatched passion for the products we offer. We understand what it means to explore, camp, and adventure in the great outdoors – and we know how important our products can be in helping ensure the best experience possible. We’re proud to put our names on these products that reflect our commitment to innovation and quality.”

7ROD: A Compact, Lightweight Solution For Adventurers
The 7ROD camper stands out as one of the lightest RVIA-certified campers currently on the market, with an unloaded vehicle weight of just 500 pounds.
This low weight makes it accessible to a broader range of users, allowing it to be towed by a variety of vehicles, from compact cars and electric vehicles (EVs) to all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and even larger motorcycles.
“The 7ROD and the 10ROK are both exciting representations of our belief that everyone should be able to enjoy the great outdoors regardless of their vehicle.”
—Austin Bontrager, co-owner and COO of Bontrager Outdoors
This level of versatility is further enhanced by an exclusive swivel hitch, making it a highly mobile option for adventurers who prioritize flexibility in their travels.
Despite its small size, the 7ROD doesn’t compromise on quality. The camper is constructed with a combination of composite, aluminum, and steel, ensuring durability without adding unnecessary bulk. Inside, the 7ROD sleeps two people on an 80-by-46-inch mattress and comes with features like LED lighting and a portable toilet. It also includes a rear kitchen area, providing a simple yet functional space for meal preparation.
With a base MSRP of $9,840, the 7ROD is positioned as an affordable option for those looking to experience the outdoors without investing in larger, more expensive trailers. Its compact size and lightweight design open up camping opportunities for users with smaller vehicles, making it an ideal choice for people looking for a minimalist, mobile camping experience.
10ROK: Compact But Capable
Joining the 7ROD in the 2025 lineup is the 10ROK, which combines many features of Bontrager Outdoors’ larger 12ROK model in a more compact design. With a dry weight of 1,700 pounds and a cargo capacity of 1,340 pounds, the 10ROK offers an impressive balance between storage capacity and portability.
The design incorporates a vertical rear wall similar to the 12ROK, and it features a new rear door design that includes flush slam hatch handles with integrated locks. This design innovation aims to reduce water infiltration, ensuring better protection for the exterior kitchen area, which is a key feature of the 10ROK.
“Both the 7ROD and the 10ROK perfectly embody our mission of creating high-quality recreational vehicles that inspire unforgettable adventures. Their incredible quality construction, low weight and innovative features show why Bontrager Outdoors is the name families trust to connect and make memories time and time again. We are thrilled to add these innovative products to our growing Small Line product family.”
—Jason Bontrager, co-owner and CEO of Bontrager Outdoors
The rear kitchen in the 10ROK is well-equipped, offering a small refrigerator, microwave, griddle, sink, and metal cabinets. This layout provides a complete, functional space for outdoor cooking, a highlight for those who enjoy making meals during their trips. The camper also comes with a 7-foot awning, creating a sheltered outdoor space that can be used for lounging or additional cooking areas.
With an MSRP starting at $16,575, the 10ROK is priced as a more feature-packed option within Bontrager Outdoors’ Small Line. Its design is aimed at campers who want to maintain the conveniences of home while still enjoying the simplicity of compact camping trailers.
Rebranding And The Future Of Bontrager Outdoors
In addition to introducing the 7ROD and 10ROK models, Bontrager Outdoors has undergone significant rebranding efforts. The company retired the Braxton Creek brand name after acquiring the travel trailer manufacturer in early 2023.
“We are thrilled to announce this exciting change and new chapter in our company’s story. With Bontrager Outdoors, our vision is to provide our dealer partners and end-users the best value in the industry from a name that is known and respected. And while this is a big change, it’s important to emphasize what won’t change – our commitment to quality, affordability and support.”
—Jason Bontrager, co-owner and CEO of Bontrager Outdoors
As part of this shift, the company will also phase out the Bushwhacker and Bushwhacker Plus product names in 2025; instead, it will consolidate these offerings under the new Small Line branding.
“With the company name change to Bontrager Outdoors, we’re putting our (stamp) on the product, which reestablishes the lineage we have in the industry, and having our name on it shows that we’re really proud of it.”
—Jason Bontrager, co-owner and CEO of Bontrager Outdoors
By focusing on both innovation and quality, the company aims to offer products that cater to a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts, regardless of the vehicle they own or the type of adventure they seek.
Features For Modern Campers
Both the 7ROD and 10ROK come with Bontrager Outdoors’ one-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, a standard offering across all of the company’s products. This warranty, along with the use of high-quality materials like composite, aluminum, and steel, reinforces the company’s commitment to craftsmanship and durability.
In addition to trailers, Bontrager Outdoors is expanding its product line to include items such as Skinny Guy canopy campers, truck campers, and hard-sided trailers, offering a range of options for different types of camping experiences.
These products will be showcased at the 2024 Elkhart RV Open House (Sept. 23-26), where Bontrager Outdoors will also present the new 2025 models to dealers and industry professionals.
