About Gulf Stream Coach
Gulf Stream Coach was founded in 1983 by Jim Shea Sr. in Nappanee, Indiana. The company’s origins are deeply rooted in the craftsmanship traditions of Elkhart County, known for its ties to Amish and Mennonite communities. This heritage is reflected in the quality and attention to detail seen in Gulf Stream Coach products.
Initially starting with manufactured housing under Fairmont Homes, the Shea family expanded into the RV market, bringing innovative techniques and a commitment to quality. The company’s first RV, the Foxfire travel trailer, set the standard for what was to come, integrating features not commonly seen in travel trailers at the time.
Today, Gulf Stream Coach encompasses 22 brands with over 140 models and has produced nearly 300,000 RVs.
